Resitech utilises tendering in its service delivery based on the following methods:
- Open tenders are invited by public advertisement and there is no restriction on the number of tenders received.
- Select tenders are invited for work that is extensive or continuous. In this method Resitech may select a small number of prospective tenderers from its database of contractors to specifically create a select tender list for the project. This database is automatically populated from contractors who have tendered in an open tender call. Selections are managed to ensure an equitable distribution of opportunities to tender over a period of time.
- In some cases, Resitech may invite tenders from specific contractors who are known to have the ability to undertake a specialised project. Resitech may select from the above tendering methods; however, this will largely depend on the type of procurement process (contract method) that has been selected for a particular project.
In addition, Resitech also tenders for competitive bid consultancies as required from time to time. Initially, this may be carried out by an Expression of Interest to establish a panel of consultants/ contractors. The second stage involves the competitive bids drawn from the panel.
The type of consultancies on offer include - Project Managers, Architects, Planners, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Heritage Consultants, Surveyors, Building Inspection Services (Inspectors/Scopers), and Construction Management Services.
