Emergency Temporary Accommodation

 

The Department of Housing provides Emergency Temporary Accommodation in low-cost hotels, motels, caravan parks and similar accommodation for people who are in housing crisis, or homeless while they make longer-term arrangements. Accommodation is provided for one, or a small number of nights.

 

After Hours Temporary Accommodation

 

The after hours telephone service, 1800 152 152, is available from 4.30pm to 10pm weekdays and 10am to 10pm at weekends and public holidays.

Emergency Response

 

The Department of Housing has developed an Emergency Response Policy to manage emergencies in the public housing community. It has been developed in accordance with the NSW Disaster Welfare Plan.
