New Maintenance Contract

On 30 August 2008 the Minister for Housing announced the successful tenderers for the new maintenance contract.

The contractors are qualified and experienced organisations working across the 22 Contract Areas in NSW. They all have existing or past experience in the delivery of maintenance services to residential properties and, in particular, all have experience in the social housing sector in NSW.

This is not only a major contract for Housing NSW but is the largest single maintenance contract project for residential housing in the southern hemisphere. The contract is for five years with works programmed for the period in excess of $1.6 billion. It signals a new era for the way we do maintenance with a planned approach.

New contracts for Housing NSW maintenance work commenced on 27 October 2008.
