DA lodged for Common Ground Project

Housing Minister David Borger today announced that a development application (PDF file, 55KB) for the innovative Camperdown Housing Project has been lodged with the City of Sydney. The Camperdown Project is an ambitious project to tackle Sydney's homelessness as part of the NSW Government's coordinated response to this serious social problem, using the successful Common Ground model.

Bold New Affordable Housing Initiative

Minister for Housing David Borger and Member for Mount Druitt Richard Amery today announced a bold new initiative (PDF file, 47KB) to help low income families access the dream of home ownership. Up to 20 vacant Housing NSW blocks of land per year will be sold to organisations over the next 10 years, each with a 20-thousand dollar discount. The discount on sale price applies where an organisation provides a home to a public housing applicant or tenant.
Latest Rent and Sales Report

The Rent and Sales Report is the sole authoritative source of data on NSW rent movements. It is published quarterly within two months of the end of the quarter. Housing NSW has been publishing rent data on a regular basis since 1987 and sales data since 1997. Report 89 is now available and was announced (PDF file, 63KB) by the Minister for Housing on 16 November.
