Community housing providers are supported by two resourcing agencies, The NSW Federation of Housing Associations (FHA) and Churches Community Housing (CCH). These groups have played an important role in the development of community housing in NSW.
NSW Federation of Housing Associations (FHA)
The FHA was established in 1992 to support the development of housing associations in NSW. The FHA is a membership-based organisation that has helped the development of a code of practice and best practice for its members. The FHA is also an important provider of training for housing associations, including training programs for day-to-day management and organisational governance.

Churches Community Housing (CCH)
The NSW Ecumenical Council and the NSW Government established CCH in 1996 to help the development of partnerships between the Government and church bodies. Such partnerships are seen as an effective mechanism for increasing the range of community housing options across NSW. Since 2002, CCH has operated as a community housing provider in its own right, managing properties previously managed by individual church groups.
Churches Community Housing
CCH provides a range of support services to church-based housing providers, including advice and consultancy services.
