The NSW Government engages the private sector in public service delivery in many ways. Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) create new infrastructure assets and deliver associated services through private sector financing and controlling ownership.
Housing NSW is working within the framework of the NSW Government’s Guidelines for Public Private Projects.
The Bonnyrigg Living Communities Project is a current example of the development of a Public Private Partnership. Housing NSW is working with other agencies to improve community services such as health, education, employment and training. Housing NSW will work to build a stronger local community. It will also involve changes in the layout of the streets, improved open space, the replacement or upgrading of Housing NSW homes and the building of new houses and flats.
For more information about the Bonnyrigg Living Communities Project, call Housing NSW's Bonnyrigg Office on (02) 9822 3999, or 1300 HOUSING (1300 468 746).
More information on PPPs can be found by reading the Department’s fact sheet on Public Private Partnerships.
