The Centre for Affordable Housing is a business unit of Housing NSW, which works with State and local government, non-profit organisations, and private companies to generate creative responses to declining housing affordability.
The Centre can bring together organisations that are interested in promoting, developing and managing affordable housing to accommodate low-to-moderate income earners. By providing its skills and experience to other agencies and organisations, Housing NSW is helping make affordable housing easier and more accessible.
The Centre aims to foster the development and management of affordable housing in NSW to achieve:
• affordability for residents
• financial viability for developers and managers
• responsiveness to community needs, and
• a more flexible approach to development and management without compromise on design or amenity.
