A new partnership between Housing NSW and Wesley Mission is providing permanent supported housing to elderly people.
The Greenacre Aged-Care Supported Accommodation Program provides stable housing for elderly people who have experienced short-term homelessness or accommodation unsuitable for their needs.
During the year, Housing NSW provided ten studio apartments to Wesley Mission. These studio apartments are designed to help older people as their needs change with age. The exteriors of the building have been renovated by Work-for-the-Dole participants who also built a barbeque and common area.
