Public housing tenants living in the proposed sales area in Macquarie Fields were visited by Housing NSW staff to discuss the sales program for Macquarie Fields, as part of a new vision for Macquarie Fields in Sydney’s west which includes:
- creating affordable housing opportunities for first home buyers and encouraging our tenants to buy their homes
- creating employment and training opportunities for tenants.

Consultations with the community and other stakeholders have already begun and will continue.
One of the main objectives with Housing NSW redevelopments is to create a mix of public and private residents. This is also the case for Macquarie Fields. By selling properties and continuing with community regeneration activities, we will help to build a stronger and more diverse Macquarie Fields community.
