Wilmott residents to have access to technology

The Iemma Government has invested $50,000 to set up a Technology Centre in Mt Druitt’s Willmot estate.

Minister for Housing, Cherie Burton, said the residents themselves had identified the need for affordable and accessible technology and the café also provided a supervised and central venue for local school children to do their homework on one of the seven newly installed computers.

Extra frontline staff to stamp out antisocial behaviour in public housing

17 additional frontline housing officers are being employed throughout the State to stamp out antisocial behaviour in public housing estates.

In making the announcement, Housing Minister, Cherie Burton, said access to public housing was a privilege and not a right; and the NSW Government had zero tolerance for tenants who do not respect and take responsibility for their homes and communities.
