The Department’s Legal Services Branch was presented an Excellence Award at the Annual Government Solicitors’ Dinner at Parliament House.
The Excellence Award in Government Legal Service is the latest achievement for the Legal Services Branch (LSB), after their Law 9000 and ISO9001: 2000 certification earlier in the year. LSB were the first public sector legal team in Australia to receive the Law 9000 certification.
The Excellence Award was presented in acknowledgement of LSB’s efforts in going above and beyond its usual duties to develop and deliver legal policy, legislation and training in key areas of the Department.
The Branch was nominated by the Governance and Regulation division, with references provided by the Director-General and Deputy Director-General.
